Leaving Chicago

Scott is all sorts of toughness when it comes to getting it done. He made this mean scowl after he dried his tears, got a hug, and I pulled out the camera.
Sweet Lyvi thought she would help wipe of the window screens with her hands and her face.
Saying goodbye to our home of two crazy years.

Saying goodbye to our buddies. They brought little bags for the girls to keep them occupied in the car. They loved the treats! The activities lasted about 30 minutes and then the 16 movies helped kill the rest of the 22 hour drive.

#1 reason why this chair needs to be a) thrown out or b) recovered. Scott sat in it when he was super sweaty, and he was wearing his #40 warm up shirt from football. Sick!!!

Scott couldn't believe how luxurious the truck was. He and Alec drove the nastiest moving van from Cali to Chicago so Scott really felt like he was moving in style. He prepared for the role by growing out some chops a few days earlier. There definitely was some reluctance to return the moving van once we arrived in Utah.

As for me, I enjoyed my copilot status. I think this was the longest amount of alone time Scott and I had since we moved to Chicago. You can bet I took full advantage of my captive audience. I think Scott was trying to shut me up when he started suggesting we put on a movie. What, can't stand hearing a recap of the past 2 years? Come on, honey, I listened to hours of recruiting stories, LEAD dilemmas, New Venture Challenge rehearsals and personality profiling.

I don't know, I love the sweaty #40 rocking chair--it just makes me laugh.
