We're back with family again! Alec and Emi, my sister's family, my brother's, and all of Scott's family live within an hour drive. We rented a house, and it's perfect for us, the space, the yard and let's not forget my favorite part; the two car garage.
Because we arrived when summer was in full swing my sister made sure that she collected some poly wogs for my girls to play with/watch the transformation. I think Taye was puckering up for a prince.
There was a note left on our door saying that they needed more kids for the town float. Not being ones to pass up a chance to help our community, we jumped at the chance not quite realizing what we were getting into. I knew that the kids were supposed to walk with the float and wave, but two elements existed when, in combination, prove disastrous for Adley; walking and heat. In fact, this girl dislikes the two so much that after about 20 minutes of walking around at Disneyland last summer Ads asked if we could just go back to the hotel. Lucky for us there was room on top of the yellow submarine. Oh, one other surprise. They were going to pull the float with an ATV, and at the last minute found out that that wouldn't be allowed. So guess which superhero pulled the float for 2 miles (along with one of our other superhero neighbors)? Yep, Scott. So then my job was to push Lyvi in the stroller and spray all of the kids with squirt bottles. Gotta love a small town!
